Madhuri Kashyap

Madhuri received her B.S. from Fordham University in 2018, with a double major in Psychology and Economics. Before joining UCSB’s PhD program in 2020, she worked as a Lab Manager in the Social & Affective Neuroscience Lab at Rutgers University studying value-based decision-making in social and non-social contexts. Madhuri is interested in the role of social emotions, like empathy and guilt, within moral decision-making and judgement. She is particularly interested in how this interaction may be influenced by different contextual factors such as scarcity. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, reading, and raising her cat to think he’s a dog.
